How Create Bookmarks works

PDF readers show a bookmark sidebar for quick navigation, but not every PDF has one. Gojli's Create Bookmarks tool lets you add your own — jump to a page, give it a title, and it becomes a clickable entry in the outline panel.

  1. Upload your PDF — Choose the PDF you want to add bookmarks to.
  2. Add a bookmark for each page — Browse to a page, type a title, and click Add Bookmark. Reorder or remove entries as needed.
  3. Save your bookmarked PDF — Gojli writes the outline into the PDF and gives you a direct download link.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the bookmarks show up?

In the outline/bookmarks sidebar panel of PDF readers like Adobe Acrobat, Preview, or browser PDF viewers.

Can I nest bookmarks under each other?

Not yet — this creates a flat list of top-level bookmarks.

Does this replace an existing outline?

Yes, saving overwrites any outline the PDF already had with the one you built here.
